Can the convertible frame be welded?

I have a 89 Camaro and the main posts have snapped. I don't know if the frame is aluminum or white metal. Can someone tell me if it can be welded and if not what is the best route to get a new frame.

It is the main posts that run down just after the window. It's where the sail panel would be on a T-top car.

Thank You for the information. When I looked at the break I didn't know if it was cast or not.

Re: Can the convertible frame be welded?

I have several frames in stock. These cast frame pieces often break. I part out the frames specifically for instances such as this.

Lon; would you possibly have the plastic caps that cover the rear door post where the seat belt comes up for a 91? also I need the trim that comes up the drivers rear post to cover the body joint
