I recently bought my 89 iroc vert and I am trying to figure out what color interior it originally had. Unfortunately, the Service parts identification label is gone. So I am guessing. The previous owner (who I might have to take legal action against for misrepresenting the car, but that is another story for another time) put in 1960's loop pile red carpet in it. But I did find the trunk has black carpet. So I am thinking the car originally had black carpet. The exterior is code 81 bright red, black top. It has the red with grey door panels that remind me of a tweed material. The back panels are red but they are aftermarket. Can anyone clue me in?

I knew my car since it was new. It was Flame Red/Red interior. It had red carpet inside the passenger area, but had black inside the trunk. Along with black plastic inside the trunk. Also, the back panels, along the sides of the rear seats, were a added part by ASC, who built the convertibles, and on the older cars, had a different material then anything else inside my car. I believe 1990 or newer, they started using the same tweed like material used on the door panels. Hope this helps.
