How to prevent rear window wrinkles?
Hey guys, is it normal for the plastic rear window to crease or wrinkle when you put the top down. I noticed that when I put my top up the other day I had some pretty big wrinkles/creases on the rear plastic window. It looks bad, so I was hoping that maybe theres a proper way to tuck the window when my tops is down or is this just a common thing with verts?

Unfortunately, when you put the top down two bad things happen to the window. First, as you noticed, the plastic tends to wrinkle in certain areas. This can be minimized by pausing when the window is folding and "help" it with your arm to form a smooth fold. Second, since it folds together it rubs against itself and creates scratch marks over time that will cause the clarity to be reduced.
I carry a soft towel with me and insert it into the window fold when I help form the fold. It reduces the surface scratching and helps prevent as many wrinkles. If you use a bath size towel, it will reach across the entire window but be cautious about the towel material you select. I have found the best to be a soft cotton towel.
