Alternative Rear Spoiler?
I was googleing Convertible pictures today and could not find any good shots of a car that had anything other than the oem spoiler that wraps all the way around to the doors....
Is there any particular reason these aren't/cant be swapped out? structural? I was thinking about a factory style hi rise, but thinking I might be missing something since I just dont see any convertibles with em at all.
Edit:
Foudn this thread here...

Thats pretty sharp.. But not sure I have the talent to pull that off.....

Re: Alternative Rear Spoiler?
If you ever take off the quarter panel caps you'll see why they're on there. The roof was cut off and welded, there's a seam that goes all the way back pretty much.
Not many other spoilers look good on the verts because it's hard to make them look good without the quarter panel caps. And there's really no spoilers that fit with the caps...
With that being said, the high rise spoiler is awesome (extremely biased here lol), but it takes a lot of work. You can do it one of two ways, one being the way I did it obviously and cutting down the spoiler to fit the caps. The other way is to trim off the "duck tail" of the caps, making them flat, and this would allow less trimming on the spoiler. Still would need trimming, but not the intricate trimming like mine needed.
