drivers window wont roll down, but window motors good??
my drivers window just quit on me one day last week out of no where,
it was working fine, i mean it was alittle slow like most thirdgens window motors are, then i came out the next day, put the top down hit both the window switches and nothing from the drivers side,
i tested the motor and it went up and down just fine, no problems wgat so ever, tested the switch and its fine, checked all fuses and connectors and there all connected,
can anyone help me fix this?
or even to just rewire it? id rather rewire it that way i dont have to hunt for weeks sorting through good or possibly bad wiring.....
Thanks,

Are you getting power at the motor. If so it could be a bad ground wire that could be causing it not to operate.

i havent tried to check if i have power going to it, and yeah it could be a bad ground,
but if theres no power going to the motor, what else do i check?

then check for power at the switch and work your way back towards the fuse but I think youll have power at either the switch or motor

How can you be sure the motor is good if the window won't go up/down?
Just because motor turns without window weight on it doesn't mean it will with window weight on it - the motors have built in breakers - when the resistance is too much, the breaker is opened - then later it resets itself. So it's quite possible for the motor to spin nicely without the window weight on it, but the motor is still shot.

Like I said before check to see if you have power at the motor and dont forget to hit your power window switch when checking for the power at the motor

the power distribution block is behind the driver side kick panel. If one went up but not the other I would assume it is in the switch, the wires to that motor, or that motor is bad. I had trouble with my GTA sometimes knocking the connector from the motor, otherwise I would use a meter and check each one out

Cool - good. Then only thing left is
1) wiring between door and switch
2) wiring between switch and fuse
3) fuse - the fuse will be marked WDO
