Why can't you use window tint remover? I didn't think that the remover solution was that potent.

Re: AAAHHHHH!!! Tint on rear Plastic Window
I am not sure what the rear window is made from, but some plastics are just not friendly to many of your typical household cleaners, nor the standard things you can use on Glass. Glass is almost untouchable, unless you use Acid (which is used to etch) so you can use gasoline, Alcohol, Benzine, or just about anything else. With a Plastic window you obviously have to be very careful not to cause damage to the material, as once it kicks, its not possible to restore. You could have a myriad of things happen, it could become brittle, it could cause it to haze, or craze...
It really depends on the window tinting, I have been successful removing window tint (from Glass) without leaving a residue, it takes time, and you have to pull really gently, if it snaps, then it leaves a line. Other times I remove it and I get lines no matter what, there is a goo that is left behind, its not pretty.
You have to see what is safe for the plastic. I do not know what kind of plastic it is to start with ( I want to think Vinyl) and go from there... Also a Newer top window may be made from a different material than the original ASC top...
I know I did not help, probably scared you more than anything...

Flitz is what they use to polish them back to new. It will also fix a scratched cd.
