Convertible Top Repair
I just picked up a 91 Camaro RS Convertible. It has been is a will be a work in progress. But was too good a deal to pass up.
I am on limited budget right now. The top is in good shape except for a tiny tear about an inch long. Is there something I could use/do to patch the top for now. I know it may not look perfect, but the car needs tires and a few other repairs to get her road worthy. So I would jut like to patch the top for now if that is possible, the seams and rear window are fine. She was negected for several years and sat in someones front yard, but she deserves to be repaired. I couldn't pass up the price. Even though I already have 3 other F-bodys (1 of which is also a project and 1 of which may have to go) and a basement full of parts waiting to be installed. This is my first Vert though and I may need a little help along the way.
Any thoughts on how I might be able to repair the top for now would be appreciated.

Re: Convertible Top Repair
start off by using fishing line and sew up the hole and then get a piece of rubber (old bike tire inner tube cut into a square slightly bigger than the hole)and take the headliner down enough to get behind it and use rubber contact cement over the hole from the inside. The rubber part isn't really needed if you sew it correctly but just in case.
