Panel repair

There is this convertible piece, very hard to find in good shape...the top panel above the sunvisor on my 89 convtble. It has a big crack right by the sunvisor screws. Any pointer on what glue and material to use to repair it?

Re: Panel repair

Plastic repair is 100% an option. Go to a body shop or a detail shop and ask if they do plastic repair or are connected to a person that does plastic repair.

I had my convt top plastic fixed after I put a big crack right down the middle. I couldnt find anywhere to buy the piece, so I looked around and it cost $50 locally at a body shop and looks like brand new.

Side note, this is not a do it yourself thing if you want it to look original...After I saw the tools they use and how they do it, no way would I have attempted to do it my self.

Re: Panel repair

to do it right you need a plastic welder from Eastwood or another reputable company.
