Or so he says. Thought these had nothing to do with GM and were a dealer send-off conversion?

He mentions AutoForm, which did a number of conversions, including privately owned rides. It does look nice and clean, but $10,000US reserve is still a little to rich for my blood. The demand, from my experience, for 3rd gen Camaro verts outside of the ones done by ASC isn't as strong. Just ask any owner of a non-ASC vert who's ever had to repair, restore or replace anything. Yikes. Plus, the ASC/Chev/Pont relationship is a contract considered to be the only and most official convertible "option" offered on a 3rd gen. This also effects the value, and most often in a more positive way than many of the independent firms.
I do think they are a great piece of 3rd gen history, however. And I hope it finds a good home.

Does the 25 count firebirds? That's the first Camaro with that conversion I've seen...
& to clarify, hardtop convertible, it's not... it has a soft rag top that you put up... hardtop would be a hard roof that folded and went in the trunk, aka Mercedes...

I think the hard top that he is referring to is the panel that goes on top. If you look it is stiff, one piece. It is covered in fabric. Most of the other ones that I have seen have a cloth top.
I do not think he is misleading, but the pictures are misleading because of the cloth covering.
