does anyone have some sfc's layin' around?

I already posted a wanted ad in the marketplace, but I think more of the convertible owners will see this if I post it here. I'm lookin' for a good set of sfc's, used OR new. Preferably UMI or BMR but I will consider anything. The cheaper the better.

Holy wow I didn't know those were that cheap. Hmmmm....Christmas present!

For that price I think I'll get the wonder bar too!

I didn't realize $184 was cheap, I thought that was pretty expensive for two tubes of metal.

It is expensive if you can't afford it...

Well $184 is cheap to me because I thought BMR and UMI and other places sell them for like $230-ish. Either way, I'm gonna try and get it for Christmas so it might be REALLY cheap for me

UMI's SFC's are usually $199.99 a set and they are actually on sale for
$179.99 until 11-17.

Do not be a victim of cheaper is better. Spohn, and hotchkis are sometimes cheaper, but if you compare the overall design UMI surpasses them by flying colors. UMI's are specifically designed to clear most aftermarket exhaust and has more surface area to be attached to your frame.

SFC's are usually permanent modifications. If you cannot afford to do it right the first time, can you afford to do it again?

It is a great thing the UMI's are on sale. I give them my highest recommendation. There are many threads, on why UMI is the best.

Take it easy.

You can see how the subframe connectors are designed to clear my 3" Y-pipe. The passenger side frame is stacked like a reversed "z"

Picture of the driver side. If you look closely at the passenger side you can see the tubular LCA's which are awesome too.

So if UMI is the best stuff out there, where how does Alston compare? Also, I have a cut out installed where my cat used to be, would this be a problem with the location of the sfc's?

The cut out would not be in the way as long as you put it where most do. Alston SFC's are comparable to the jegster SFCs reason being... they are the same SFC's. However the popular ones are bolt in. In a short period of time the bolt holes elongate. They can be welded in for better success, however the alston SFC are usually much more expensive. The UMI version still has more welding surface area for increased strength, and a nice red powder coat never hurts the eyes.

Search this forum for UMI... you will not see one... not one bad UMI review on their SFCs every other brand has it's pros and cons. But none as well rounded as UMI's

Are the UMI's convertible specific?

I was assuming he was looking for SFC'c that were convertible specific and I can't find where the UMI's are usable in a convertible.

There's a convertible set and a coupe set. Since he said he bought them for his vert I'd assume they're the convertible set.
