will 2000-2002 Trans am Seats fit

Hey guys i happen to have a question, im thinking of "updating" my 87 gta vert with a 2000-2002 black leather TA seat set, i know the fronts will fit and the connections for the power stuff should be the same, but is there any difference in the rear seats from a convertable to a hardtop, and will they all fit?? and would it be possible to mod the door panals from that same year to get them to fit as well??

I know the seats will fit right in no mods. But the door panels, that's a whole other story. I've seen picture of moded 4th gen door panels, but it seems like to much trouble for me. I just put 02 camaro seats in my car, I plan on getting/redoing my door panels in the near future to something undecided. But I'm sticking to 3rd gen panels, just custom covered or something.

Seats fit perfact, conv or not. Now as for power, conectors are different u have 2 splice, and if they had lumbar support like mine, then u need to run seperate pwr wires and relays, not hard tho.

not entirely true, the seat belt guides in the rear are made for the convertible, you would need to swap the guides out for your current convertible guides, although, your convertible rear side panels may be different than mine. I just put in black cloth 4th gen seats in and that was the only problem i ran into..

Uh, last time I checked, unless you are using the seatbelt from the donor car, then you would have to change the guides out as well. This is true for any car vert or not. Who wants the hassle of cutting 2 sets of guides when you can just unscrew the original guides and then screw them into the new seats.

If your talking about the front seats, then I just cut the guides between the 2 scew holes. Then I slide the belt threw the cut and screwed it on. I did something similar when I replaced the piece that snaps into the headliner.

Hey guys!!.. thanks for all the info, here is the front seats that iam looking at.. same design but black..eBay Motors: Front Gray Leather Seats 98-02 Trans Am (item 8068036476 end time May-27-06 11:03:02 PDT), so how complicated is the wiring with trying to hook up the power part of things? also for the rear seats all the brackets and what not will line up perfectly? and does anybody have any pictures of anyone who has tried to mod the 98-02 door panals in the car, and how they did it??
