Beware of *84TA
Last year I sent a Delco radio to *84TA to have a MP3 input put on it. He did a good job, no complaints
A few months after that, the right rear channel went out, and he said "send it to me, I can fix it" So I sent him the radio, and a money order to cover the repair and cost of return shipping
That was the beginning of May, and I didn't hear anything from him for quite a while so about 6 weeks later I started this conversation
Can you please answer me? Mark,
Sorry for not getting back to you. Work has been crazy. Radio is almost done. I will let you know when I am ready to ship it out.
ok the silence was starting to worry me. I'm fine with extra time, just please keep me posted if it's going to be much longer
Mark,
I promise I did not forget about you. If I do not get to it this weekend I am taking a few days off next week, and your radio will be the first priority.
Matt.
thanks for keeping me posted!
Mark,
Just a quick update. The radio is apart and on the bench. I have fixed the bad channel. The fader is next, and also the bass slider is bad again (I fixed it last time). I am going to have to steal one out of a scrap radio. I will get it finished and packed up to be shipped on Moday. I will send you the tracking info when it goes out.
Matt
That was a month ago, and I still don't have the radio or the tracking numbers, and he's stopped replying to my PM's, so I felt I needed to warn others about his business practices
I've asked him to send back the money order if he's not going to send back the radio, at least I could apply that to another radio. it's the LEAST he can do. He never responded to that either
Ball is in your court Matt. I still want the radio back. This should be easy to resolve

11 days later, (and having had the part for months) and he has still yet to respond to this post, or the PM's I have sent him.

Re: Beware of *84TA
wow, almost TWO YEARS after sending him the radio, and a year after I started this thread, I got this letter from Matt
So he fixed the radio (haven't tried it yet) and refunded my money, and shipped it back.. Hard to be angry, even though I did buy a different radio in the meantime, but I'm glad to get the original one back. I'll test it in the car and see if it works like it should
Pretty cool (and unique) update, isn't it? Good for Matt for doing the right thing. thumbs up!
Mark,
Do you still have the same address? Your radio is shipping out tomorrow along with a check for the $46.
I am sorry that I went MIA on you. I lost my job last spring and fell off the radar for a while. Again I apologize about my actions. It was a shitty thing to do.
I'm sure that you have found another radio, but I am sending you your unit back with a rebuilt sound board yours was fried.

Re: Beware of *84TA
Just got around to installing the radio
The radio was fixed as promised, it just took a long time. In the end I'm glad to hav the radio back in the car and working as it should. The 4th gen radio worked fine, but didn't look right
