Bad Seller: TKO500 Josh Morin East Wakefield NH
I post this in hopes of finalizing this transaction.
On 9/14/07 I agreed to puchase a TPI system, harness, and ECM from TKO500. The for sale ads posted by TKO500 are listed below:
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/engi...s-air-tpi.html
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/engi...rness-ecm.html
On 9/17/07 I mailed TKO500 a money order for the agreed price.
On 10/7/07 TKO500 PMs me stating the injectors I bought were "not flowing very well". I agree to buy the rest the package and recieve $50 back for the missing injectors.
On 10/17/07 I recieve a box from TKO500. I recieve the TPI base, runners, plenum, fuel rails, throttle body, harness, & ECM. The $50 for the injectors and MAF sensor are not included.
On 10/17/07 I notified TKO500 of the missing parts and have not recieved any response back despite numerous logins by TKO500 since.
TKO500 you still owe me a MAF sensor and $50 for the missing injectors.
Below is all correspondence I have had with TKO500:

I'm interested in purcashing the TPI system, wiring harness, ECM, and PROM you have for sale. Will you take $350 for the entire package shipped to VA? Let me know.
Thanks,
Brian

Sure that would be fine. Are you going to mail certified funds? If you want to PayPal I will request that you cover the 3% charge.
Let me know.

If its not a problem, I'd like to mail a USPS Money Order. Send me back your name and address and I'll try to get it sent out this weekend.

That would be best. You can mail it to:

Let me know when it goes out so I can look for it.
Thanks

If its not too much trouble, please send a tracking number when the parts are shipped. Thank you for your patience and for the parts.

Ok I just got back home and I am going to mail the money order Monday morning (tomorrow).
The issue my guy ran into while I was gone is the injectors are not flowing very well. Probably because they are 20 years old and the car had next to no miles on it.
So if you want everything minus the injectors I will take $50 off the price and ship everything else. You can get a set of LT1 injectors here for that or less.
Let me know. Otherwise I will throw it all on eBay tonight. Sorry for the delay/confusion.

Again I post this in hopes of finalizing this transaction by recieving a MAF sensor and $50 for the injectors. Private communications have been one way since 10/13/07 so I post this in the public forum to hopefully resolve this issue but at the very least to warn others. I have tried to include all correspondences so as to include a non biased point of view.

In reality much of text from the "actual PM's" has been editted from its original content to form a bias opinion. The reality of it was that he did receive his refund and the MAF sensor.
The negative publicity is not what I am interested in. However, the only other time I have been involved in a dispute I found that there will always be two sides to the story. With that in mind I will say that I do not agree with the posting, but it is what it is.
I no longer deal with any 3rd gen items which is why I rarely log in to this forum. This is the same reason why I will not be posting anything for sale on the boards.
Hopefully the TPI you received will serve its purpose.

i always wondered if it wouldn't better serve the purpose to use screen shots taken using th print screen key in order to show these alledged PM's... of course they could still be photoshopped. but are you really going to take the time?

Generally I do not frequent the feedback forums unless I have a reason to. It was nice of 83 to send me the link to this thread. In the past when I was wrong I always came through to do the right thing. Much like the offer I gave this guy regarding this issue.

I hoped this post would motivate you to finalize this transaction but all it has accomplished is reaffirming your true colors.

Sorry dude, I definitely have to disagree. I've bought stuff from Josh 4 or 5 times now, and every deal has been great. The fact that he questioned the injectors beforehand, and decided not to send them, should reflect that he's concerned about the quality of the stuff he sells to someone. Lots of people would send you junk parts without batting an eye. Everything I've ever bought from Josh has been in great shape for used stuff. Had to throw my in on this one for all the good deals I've gotten from him.

Keep your two cents. I'm not commenting on the quality of what he sells but his lack of finishing the deal. If he did send the refund and MAF let him post up some evidence and this situation could easily be resolved by a tracking number, filing a shipping dispute, or canceling and resending a money order. His lack of any communication forced this post and his lack of any attempt at resolution, but instead making false accusations, speaks volumes about his character (or lack there of).
