Re: Forward540?
I think it's wrong that guys like him are permitted to continue to access the forum after an incident like the one I had with him. Look at the results! He scams another person! I was nothing but reasonable with this jackass, so it isn't as if I've only presented the bits of the situation that favored myself.
He flouts any respect to the administration in posting on this thread - not to defend himself, but to bicker with competing sellers! I think that says volumes - moderators, I'd like someone to tell us all the standing policy on situations like this, so that we can understand why he was permitted to continue fleecing members.
I found that Mike was involved in similar issues on other boards and passed that info on to Rebel1222 - Mike is way out of hand and is going to come out to a bad end, but in the meantime, nobody wants him actively screwing over people here.

Re: Forward540?
Mike and Kim (Forward540) said they would refund me $220.00 for parts never sent. They both agreed to send the money back last Saturday (4/28/07) we will see how long it takes them to send the money or if they do at all. I will keep everyone posted. I'm hoping they FINALLY get their act together and do the right thing for a change and I don't have to get the law involved.

rebel1222, I might need your help if Mike and Kim jack me around again.

Re: Forward540?
Contact Agent Alex Latour of US Postal Inspecters office. He called me yesterday. He was just getting ready to go to Mikes house, and contact the local police. (Upper Providence Police Department) I think I still have their # at work. Anyway, If I had known Mike still was ripping folks off I would have told Agent Latour, and he would have proceeded with his efforts againts Mike on behave of you. This is the only thing that will get him to send your $ back. Threat of definant prosecution! Let me know if you want me to look up the # to the police dept. It's easy to look up on the web. Officer Mulqueeny is the one that called mike on my behave. He is very familar with him.

Maybe they need to start a "who got f 'ed by forward 540" sticky.
Seems he can send me a PM when I post about him. To bad he doesn't respond to others in like fashion. Thats ok. I can live with if he can.

Re: Forward540?
Found all the phone #'s he gave me and #'s he's posted and all are no good anymore. Latest as of 5/17/07. I contacted his local police and they gave him a call, he now is going to send all the parts. I faxed a list of parts owed to me to the cops and he will supply a tracking # for the package when shipped by Monday 5/21/07. I did send him a postal money order and kept the stub. I also kept all emails when I buy anything from site like this. We will see if he does what he told the cops he would do. I will keep everyone update on Mike's progress. This seems to be the only way to make Mike do the right thing is getting the law involved!!!!

Re: Forward540?
Hi,
It sounds like many of you had a bad experience with unclefrank540@aol.com /Forward540, and I'm sorry that you all had to go through that, really I am and I hope when you hear the truth about what happened to me, you will try to work out your issues.
I feel the need to tell the truth here, and that is that I bought a Firebird trunk latch pull-down from him and it works beautifully.
Without that part, I would have had to get rid of the car. Thanks, Mike
Do any of you guys have a 1992 Pontiac Firebird with parts available to sell if I need some in the future??? I am truly grateful that he read my post and gave me what I needed for my car.
I couldn't find it anywhere, really, and he emailed me and gave me a price. It took a bit to get it worked out on how to send it, we had many emails back and forth about the details on sending it, but he sent it like I asked him to, COD and I paid by check. He gave me the part I needed and I gave him the price he asked for. I would buy from him again if I need to, just because he did give me a square deal. After reading all the trouble you guys had, I hope all further dealings with him goes just as smoothly as the last one did.
Thought you all might like to hear a bit of good news for a change. May God bless this situation.

Re: Forward540?
Not many sellers would be willing to sell an item COD. That method of doing business has phased out over the years. Between individuals particularly. Probably after reading all the bad posts, you had the foresight and good sense only to buy from him using the COD method. kudos to you.
I quess if I needed a part very badly and the ONLY person this side of Mars who had the part was a known liar and cheat with a l-o-n-g reputation of ripping people off, then I supposed I would ask him to sell it to me using COD.
I finally got my $ returned, but ONLY after a serious realization by Mike that he was about to be criminally prosecuted by both his own local police department and the Postmaster General's office. Had I not had the determination to press the issue with the above mentioned authorities then I would still be waiting on parts and a refund never intended to be sent.
I learned a valuable lesson out of this. Always check a person's seller reputation before buying anything from them. And if possible, buy local. I have purchased from other sellers on here and had good experiences. You just have to be diligent.+

Re: Forward540?
That's sad. I guess I just was blessed (I don't believe in luck) with the foresight on how to handle the transaction. Thanks for the kudos though. He really is the only one on this side of Mars who could have helped me. I mean I tried everything and everywhere I could think of. I went to the junkyard guy about 40 miles away from my house. He told me he had the part there, just waiting to be taken out of the car. So I made the trip. Waiting in his waiting room for almost 2 hours until closing before he told me that the parts were no good and I came there for nothing. Parts are really hard to find for my car. But I love my car, and I don't want to get rid of her. Its a sentimental thing to me, I don't even know why, but it is. That's why I'm sure you can appreciate how much it meant to me to actually get the trunk pull down for my car. Water started to get in the back and it would have been ugly in the near future. I'm just glad I don't have to get rid of her and I can still get parts. However, and Mike knows this, I won't do business over the internet unless it is COD. The Post Office still does this with no problem and it only costs a little over three bucks. Nice talking with you.

Re: Forward540?
Mike says parts were shipped, weeks later no parts, finds parts not shipped by girlfriend, says will ship and weeks later no parts. I ask for refund, weeks later says check is in the mail, weeks later no check, stops answering e-mails and ignoring AOL IMs (while he is online) blocks me on the screen name he knows of mine so I can't see him online or IM him, see him online every day while I'm signed in under a screen name he doesn't know. Countless PMs thru this website and he's logged in on here everyday and still no replies. Cops get involved and now he's doing the right thing!!!! Like I said before, it seems to me that most of his problems started when this woman came into his life.

Re: Forward540?
The lastest on the Mike Robaey con. Got a phone call from his local police stating he shipped SOME of the items and he gave me a tracking #. I faxed a list of parts Mike and I agreed on and now Mike is disputing some of the parts. The cop will be calling me today and telling me which parts exactly Mike is disputing. On the list I wrote out for the cop I stated clearly that if Mike disputed and of these parts he should just refund my $220. I'm alittle disappointed in the officer not make Mike send everything or just telling Mike to refund my $220 like he said he would over 3 weeks ago in a email.

Re: Forward540?
I got some of the parts Mike and I agreed on. NOT near the condition he said they were in. I used to talk to Mike damn near ever week on the phone and thought we were friends, was I wrong!!!!. He told me that his aunt died around X-mas last year and he and his girlfriend were living there and he inherited the farm were his 50 some f-bodies are. He was sued by his former landlord before he moved to the farm. When tracking him down I found out that he has been living in a motel for months. Mike is a true liar and can't keeps all this lies straight!! He will probably be change his screen names but , remember the area he lives in and his name and his girlfriends name Kim or Kimmy. He will probably use her maiden or x-husbands last name. Do not buy from them EVER!!!!

Here is Mikes latest dealings, I know he is selling under cover through PM's and hopefully not taking advantage of members who don't know he is a crook
His Last Activity: Today 06:45 PM
He is a chump, he will never be banned for reasons unknown but this is a good start.

Re: Forward540?
I once had a almost deal with him. I was looking for an extremly nice radio trim plate for my 82 trans am. After a few emails he told me he had one yada yada .... Then only to find out what he had was one with scratches and a broken thing where a bolt goes (a ear or what not) Damn glad I didn't deal with him after seeing all your stories! .... Then another member from here said he hade a nice one and not a bit of a problem with that deal.
What was the worst about this frank guy was he always said I didn't have time to go out to the "farm" .... Just kinda think this guy takes the money and hopes to find a part at a pick a part or something.
I offer the same response as the majority here in saying steer clear of this guy !!!!!!!!

Re: Forward540?
Was thinking about getting some items from him but after reading these negative posts, I am not too sure. I emailed someone about camaro parts and believe this to be him. http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/search...dsfyc=&systime
also, I believe I bought off of him on ebay too. This guy really gets around. I believe his user ID is JIMMY3349. It was rusty, crappy and took 3 weeks to get to me. But he will probably just change his user ID on that too.
In additon, I believe he is also someone I have been emailing via craigslist. IN PA. Just too many different names all over PA without owning the actual car or parts. Tries hard to hit the Philly area apparently.
Just can't trust someone that goes by Uncle Frank and Jimmy when there real name is Mike.

Re: Forward540?
I have read this entire post and the other one that was similiar. In no way did I see you threaten anyone of accuse anyone of something that can't be verified. You have posted some infromation on the subjects such as phone numbers, email addresses, names and what not but this is not private infromation.
Moderators, please do not ban dokken10 or rebel122, they have not done anything against board rules and have not done anything illegal. The situation has gotten a little heated but the same thing happened when all that stuff was going on with fasterthanumark and those wheels. Some people are scammers and have to be prepared when the people that get screwed want to take action.
Moderators, please do not ban dokken10 or rebel122, they have not done anything against board rules and have not done anything illegal. Re: Forward540?
Don't know what the latest is on this guy, but he tried to sell me some stuff via pm very recently. I obviously declined, thanks to this thread I got the heads up long before I put myself at rist of being screwed. I don't know if any of this has been righted or not, but be warned he is still trying to sell via pm.
