I agree with Kandied, but I agree with 88txiroc too. The mods do one HE11 of a job on these boards keeping it tech related and keeping the to a minimum. It just sux that no one can do anything to the losers who may prowl amongst us...

I appreciate all the support guys. I dont blame the mods for what happened, this was all Sergios fault. I feel especially embarassed that I believed Sergio when he said he wanted to make this situation right. I think its safe to say now (2 screen names and 1 year later) that he has no intention of paying me back and he is just leading me on. I said earlier that I didnt think he should be banned because I thought it was a mistake, but now that I realize this is not a mistake, I think he should be banned. I also think his other 2 screen names should be banned. I dont think dishonest thieves should be allowed to continue using these forums.

I'm going to make a formal complaint with Paypal and the BBB in Arizona. I will also do some research and see what other methods I have to get my money back (small claims court, etc). And because Sergio is dishonest, I will be aiming to get the $180 plus the costs of shipping which came out to $40 each way, so $260 total.

Sergio, you suck.

 

Far far too late for Paypal. If you don't get scared and file within 30 days you're out of luck.

 

Thanks for the info. Sounds like typical Paypal there. I'm still gonna make a complaint about Sergio. And I'm gonna be complaining to the BBB about Paypal since there were not clear instructions on the website when attempting to get the refund. I got a friend here in Hawaii (DA), gonna see if there is any legal recourse in his home state. Dosnt cost me anything so I might as well find out.

I've heard the other side of the story via the source himself (Sergio) in person and Crazy Hawaiian seems to leave out some very peculiar details involving the paypal transaction.

 

Hmmmmmm. I don't think everyone jumped on the "hate bandwagon" as you called it. I think most people are upset at this type of situation where someone skrews over someone else and doesn't really care about it. Since you have inside knowledge, please enlighten everyone so we may all switch to Sergio's side.... You know..... the side where you feel sorry for Sergio because he still hasn't paid back CH for the money which was "lost", and avoids him at all costs...... I think I am switching to that side....... CrazyHawaiian.....man, u r just gonna have to suck it up and deal man....Sergio has more important things to deal with besides paying you back. He needs some NOS and he needs a new computer and other stuff. You just have to deal with it man....... Errrrrrrrrrrrr....nope, I can't do it. I may not know everything going on here, but at least CH has come to these boards to try to resolve this situation and deal with what's going on, which is what this board is for. ChrisFormula355, why not have Mr. Sergio come here and explain why he's not even attempting to deal with the problem. Trust me, I'd like nothing more than for Sergio to come on here and tell everyone he's gonna make payments to Shawn Reilly (crazy hawaiian) so that I wouldn't have to deal with this (his) insanity, because as a friend of his, I feel it neccessary to at least put up some fight for him.

Here are the details I know of and believe: Money was in fact refunded to Shawn's paypal account, however, at the time the account was either in his girlfriends name, or somebody else's, and he had a different account he wanted the money in, so he sent the money back, and had Sergio resend the money to a different paypal account. So in fact, Sergio DID refund the money, but Shawn refunded it right back.....point is, Sergio was NOT TRYING TO SCREW HIM. He refunded it fair and square, and then Shawn sent the money back. This is where things got messed up and paypal had an error with the second refund from Sergio to Shawn's different paypal. Obviously, all these details were ommitted from any thread Shawn has started complaining about "sergio the theif."

Now......assuming this info is correct and that I remembered it correctly (because honestly I really don't care about any of this but I'll do my best to be accurate).......I DO still believe that Sergio has a responsibility here to find out what happened to said funds. However, the way CrazyHawaiian is going about harrassing anybody connected with Sergio or even just people in the same threads on another topic totally unrelated to Sergio is just down right WRONG. Yes he owes you money, but should the rest of thirdgen.org suffer from it? NO.

And to be 100% honest with everyone, really all this means absolutely DICK to me, in fact the only reason I'm even here posting on Sergio's behalf is because Sergio refuses to come back to this lynch-mob of a website and as a friend I feel some need to let his side of the story be known....but beyond that this really all means very very little in my daily life Makes for excellent late night typing practice however. So continue on with the lynch mob and I'll try my best to post only factual data.

Sounds like a legit story to me.....honestly it does. I know things can get messed up when you transfer money like that. What this all comes down to is the fact that CH has posted a complaint with the intent of warning others of bad dealings with a person. The original post was an attempt to retrieve the money or the parts and give Sergio a chance to rectify the situation. The 2nd post was someone pointing out that this has happened at least 2 other times besides this time..... UNCOOL. After that, people who had been skrewed over in the past (myself included, and not neccisarily by Sergio) felt the need to vent a little, but it was infact directly related to what was happening here. I agree with you that Sergio has the responsibility to pay back CH and to rectify what has happened. I also agree that CH and others need not lash out in other posts that are not related to this topic, trying to bring this topic into it.
Please convey to Sergio that this is not a lynch mob, but a large group of people who are very protective of our own. He is one of us, but has wronged one of the group. I can hold no grudge as I was not wronged, and I think others would drop the if they new that the problem was taken care of. It is up to each of us to protect one another. I would really like for Sergio to feel welcomed on these boards, as I am sure he has a lot to contribute to them. I think everyone can. I still feel strongly that if he would take 2 mins out of his day and deal with this problem, it would be over and this thread would be gone forever. ChrisFormula355.....you must be a good friend to defend him and I am sure you can see where this is all coming from......

Hey thanks for the support guys. Mr Chris Tanner here (ChrisFormula355) decided to send me a PM telling me "Grow up man, you are whining like a puss about what...$100?? I've been screwed by people on ebay for amounts similar to that and guess what, its part of the gamble that is called internet trading" so he got a nice dose of my anger over this entire deal. I do not try to drag other people into my problems, but Chris decided he wanted to let me know what he thinks. I have tried to be very calm and patient through-out this entire thing. I have not brought anyone else into this, and I didnt threaten anyone. But after one year and six months, my patience wears thin. Maybe I did snap a little too hard at Chris, but he was asking for it. And where I come from, its not uncommon to fight over something like this. What can I say? I admit I made a wrong assumption about Chris's skills in some other thread because he refered to our cars as turds (which I think any hotrodding thirdgeneer would agree means you dont know how to mod a thirdgen) and my assumption was wrong. However, I dont think this gave Chris any right to butt in about my situation with Sergio and run his mouth at me.

Just to clear it, the refund was declined on my end after I clicked on the "accept payment button." It was not displayed anywhere on that Paypal page that refunds would be declined if you do not have a verified paypal account. I dont have a verified paypal account because I refuse to have paypal connected to my bank account, I straight up dont trust them. I have had someone STEAL from my other verified paypal account, clean me out. Paypal sucks, but thats what Sergio wanted. Like I said before, I dont blame Sergio for this happening. But after one year and six months, I do think I have the right to be pissed off that he has blown me off. And I think you need to butt out of my business Chris. Like I told you many times before in earlier PM's, just shut the F up, leave me alone. If you keep running your mouth at me, be prepared to hear some sh.

CH - it's too bad it's been a year and a half..i nearly got screwed out of $1250 on the rims/tires i bought on ebay..took me a month and a half to get them after countless angry voicemails/emails...i had to file a complaint with paypal and freeze the con's accounts...now i was lucky enough to have filed a complaint before the 30 days were up but they had said that if their investigation turned up nothing then to go to the local police as well as file a complaint with the FBI. now before anyone yells for saying why go to the FBI over $180 bucks, he is obviously a repeat offender and should be taken seriously..so even if you cant get your money back atleast take the next step to prevent others from getting screwed out of more money like i almost did. good luck man..

Just like how everyone has the right to post their opinions in the Appearance/Detailing forums, I have a right to post my opinions about Sergio in threads he's participating in. I think its fair that everyone else know he is shady, especially if he is attempting to sell stuff again or even mentioning selling or buying stuff while he still has not paid me back. Yes the money was refunded to my paypal account and shawn notified me when the payment was declined. So Sergio should have sent the payment back since it was DECLINED! I would also like to add that there are other ways to send the money back like for example a Postal Money Order. PayPal was not Sergios ONLY option. I think we have waited long enough to receive payment or the parts.
