Hooking up Tach on Computerless Setup

When i got my car it had been converted from a computer-control TBI car to a carburated one. Not too long after geting it, I noticed that the tach was not hooked up cuz it always sits at 0 RPM. It is an automatic, which is why i hadn't noticed. For that reason it isn't the biggest deal in the world that it isn't hooked up, but i would like to hook it up because 1. it looks cool, and two would be useful to have since the speedometer only goes to 85. The computer is not longer in the car and there are tons of wires that look like the went to it but aren't plugged into anything. How might I go about hooking up the in-dash tach, or is it even possible now that the computer isn't there. Thanks
James
