Plugging the Lower Vent Tubes on a QJ.
I have a QJ on my 1984 Trans AM built in California as an Export only car to Canada.
I have watched several flicks on Youtube concerning this subject.
One rebuilder drilled, tapped & screwed a metal screw into the small vents.
On the larger he used either epoxy or JB Weld. I know that in shot period of time the epoxy & JB faill & fall of.
Anyone have a better solution for these vents?

Engine: 350 carbed with L-69 components
Transmission: 700R-4 w/2000 RPM stall converter
Axle/Gears: 10-bolt/3.73 ..

I don't know what "vent tubes" you're talking about unless you're referring to the secondary metering well plugs, in which case this is the best way to plug them:

I have done business with this company in the past for an alcohol resistant accelerator pump.

JB will release over time. Professional Cliff Ruggles uses Marine-Tex two part epoxy for a permanent fix.

I actually met this guy a couple years ago. This is THE fix for leakey well plugs on a Quadrajet...

The fellow who rebuilt the QJ in my 1972 Buick GS, uses Permatex gas tank epoxy to plug the /wells/vents
I like the plug idea. Don't the QJs have 4 wells or is what he shows in the flick newer QJs - 80's ?
