Carb rebulid ?'s
I recently rebulit my 2 bbl rodchester on my 82 camaro (MY FIRST). According to the diagrams in the haynes manual because the directions in the rebulid ket were not detailed at all. it is all back together and now the car won't start it just turn over and over also gas comes out of vent stack when I step on the gas. Any Ideas guys?
Thanx,

That's sounds a bit wierd. If you said gas was coming out the vent when cranking, that would say you've got a float/needle valve problem. Are you sure it's only coming out when you move the throttle?
Are your spark plugs getting wet? The flooding (if that's what's happening) would keep it from firing.

Well I didn't Adjust the float because the pump was my problem but I did put the new float needle and valve seat in that came with the kit and replaced the gaskets; and yes the car seems to flood every time I start, gas just spills everywhere when the gas pedal is depressed while cranking.
Is it possable that the float needle was not put in correctly, because I didn't know which hole to hook the pull clip in I just put it in the left hole.

Yes it is possible you put the needle/seat assembly in wrong or that it's "wedged" in a funny way or that by changing to a different inlet assembly it might have thrown off the float adjustment.
The problem is definitely related to the inlet assembly in some way- misadjusted float, incorrectly installed needle/seat or dirt in the assembly preventing it from seating.
