What (aftermarket) throttle cable bracket to use???
Hey guys,
I finally got my 305 running today, after 20 years of not being on the road (what a shame)
Still a few rocks to climb though, an i need some help.
I don't want to frie my TH700R4 thats why i want to ask the following:
When i bought this project car there were a lot of parts missing, including the brackets where the kickdown cable and tv cable click into.
What brackets do i need for my 305 carburated TH700R4 setup?
Is there something on the aftermarket?
Regards, Cleotiz

Not sure what year your working with but ebay or a pull-a-part is going to be your best option to find an original. Im not aware of aftermarket brackets for a q-jet, but there probably are some. Here is the throttle cable bracket on ebay just doing a quick search....not sure about the TV cable though. My memory tells me they were both on the same bracket, but I could be wrong...

Okay thanks.
They told me i have to get the exact right brackets, because iff they have a diffrend length i will burn up my transmission.
Iff i somehow find out how to manually adjust the throttle cable (for that i need to know in what position i need to install it, full throttle or idle? in park or in drive, etc.) that would be okay too, then i can for sure use an aftermarket bracket
