Oil catch tank mod and PCV question
Hi
I just make engine swap V6 to rebuilt (040 overbored) carburated 305 with roller camshaft. I'm waiting for good weather to begin engine break in procedure.
I put breather filter on driver side valve cover, passanger side valve cover have PCV valve connected to PCV port on carburetor.
Question is: may i place oil catch tank between Pcv valve and pcv port to prevent oil from getting into my carb, intake manifold and spark plugs?
Which oil catch tank should I choose? with or without breather filter?
I think to buy this one with filter and guage http://www.ebay.com/itm/COATED-BILLE...d971b8&vxp=mtr
Or this one without filter http://www.ebay.com/itm/UNIVERSAL-HI...3a4483&vxp=mtr
here is some pics of my new engine

Re: Oil catch tank mod and PCV question
Your car looks great by the way, and very clean swap. Keep it up!

Re: Oil catch tank mod and PCV question
You don't need it. The valve cover itself is baffled from the factory. It does an excellent job keeping liquid oil from finding it's way to the PCV valve. You're good to go right like you have it.
