It should be okay. The bog is most likely a lean spot. I will say this: if you really want to test your carb tuning skills, do it in a stick shift car with too big of a cam on a wide LSA in a full weight car. Definitely a challenging situatioin.

ya it the t5 stick, first and second gear scream but it seams like im loosing some in third and fourth, i think im going to invest in a wide band sensor our just take it to a dyno and have it done this carb is kicking my a$$

It could be losing fuel pressure, going rich or lean upstairs hard to tell.
Get the wideband and hit the dyno for some tuning.
750 is plenty for that

Timing curve probabily needs work.
Carb accelerator pump system parobabily needs work.
Jetting probabily needs work.
With that cam if you try to run it @WOT at too low an rpm it will
bog or have sluggish acceleration untill the motor get up on the cam.
on the power curve. "Lugging the motor"
The longer the cam duration the higher the engines natural usable power curve
rpm range. Big cammed motors like to rev and will be sluggish at very low rpm.
Dialing in the above helps a ton.
I suggest that his motor "will come up on the cam" about 3000 rpm.
If you really want the motor to pull strong from a lower 2000+/- minimum rpm then change the cam for a cam with shorter duration and overlap.
What rpm are you experiencing this lack of throttle response?

Re: 750 holley dp
I have gotten It to run much Better i ended up finding out that the Ac. Pumps Were shot. Also ive been playing with the jets. Only hesitates in fourth gear at wot for a second at around 3 k. Im still gona have It tuned just to make sure Im getting everything out of It. Just curious what kind of power do you guys think its making? Around 350 at the crank? 1/4 times with m/ t radails and 373 gears?

Should be well over 350 HP at the crank.
ET will probably be in the 13's at first, then it'll be whatever the vehicle the track uses can tow you across the finish line.

How far Over 350 HP? I dont see It stepping lnto the low 400. If My first couple of passes are in the low 13's il be happy. I just put some m/ t tires on and i feel like something is going to break at the track being that i still have the stock drive shaft and trans

I would say to check out the accelerator pump system and your float levels.

Forget the T5. It isn't up to the task.
An LT1 T56 will work with a '71 SBC, but the LT1 flywheel won't. Should be available, but will be a bit more than you'd normally pay.
