Re: HVH super sucker carb spacer

I think the general consensus from the prior thread was that they are a good tuning aid if you're looking for something different to try. While there's a potential power gain - it probably won't be very much.. and in the scheme of things, $100 for 5 horsepower just isn't worth it. The results vary for everyone I've talked to that has tried using the spacers, so it really just depends.. is it worth $100 to you to find out? Personally, I can find plenty of other ways to spend $100 that are guaranteed to be effective.

You could buy a cheap, 4-hole phenolic spacer and make your own "super sucker" with a die grinder and some patience. I think mine cost a whopping $20. It made a huge difference in low speed driveability (increased signal to the carb maybe). It was worth it. However, I saw no gains at the track.

I run one, it was worth .03 at the track in back to back tests. Low rpm part throttle picked up response as well. I now sold it to mwnova66 and he picked up some ET as well. Now I'm running the 1" version and he has my old 2"

Why did you jump down from a 2" to a 1"? Hood clearance?
