So, I popped in 68\72 jets in 670 my street avenger today (up from 65\68). The off idle bog is GONE. Runs beautifully. However, sitting in the car at idle seems to stink like a bit of exhaust. Also, if I stop sharply or just rev it and then hold the clutch in, it almost dies now when the rpms drop.
Are these common problems of running rich? If so, why would the car run perfectly once it got too rich?

Did you try increasing the idle or leaning out the idle mixture? I would try the mixture screws first.

like mentioned, off idle bog is not solved by increasing the jets.
May be accelerator pump adjustment, may be transition slots, may be idle mixture screws.
If you are talking about off idle to WOT, then it could also be from the PV
What do you mean like a stink of exhaust? You could have a leak somewhere. OR do you mean that the exhaust smells like raw fuel?
