Are These Keepers?
I was looking on Craigslist and found someone selling two Carbs. He wanted $100 Each or Both for $150. He listed one as a Demon and the other as a Holley. No specifics, but posted pics. He lives 60 Miles away. I took the chance and drove down there. I bought them on the spot. When i got home, i checked into each one. I knew the Demon would be good. It's really the only one i wanted but i thought I might be able to resell the other one.
The BG Demon is a Road Demon 750
The Holley is a L6210-3 650 Double Pumper
He said they both work. He said the Demon had no problems at all, but the Holley stumbled at highway speeds. He used his 454 to determine this. I'm guessing that the Holley couldn't supply the thirsty 454 fast enough on the highway, and the Demon was enough. The Holley looks like it's been around. Do you think it's worth it to Rebuild the Holley, or should i rebuild them BOTH? All i have to test them on is my Camaro with a VERY tired 305. The Demon would surely be too much carb for that.

You've got them both. I say rebuild them both and save the Holley for a rainy day when you might need one. That and it'd work nicely with that 305 you've got if you choose to freshen it up. Either that or another smallblock of your choice.
