I'm no expert - but I'd think you should. The cable that you have is just a fancy shiny cable replacement for stock, and there's alot of necessity to make sure the geometry of the TV cable is correct - the geometry of 'the pull' affects the pressure put on the cable, thus effects the pull itself. And as testy as the 700R4's can be concerning proper shifting, I'd play it safe myself.

I have one installed on my 1406, although I don't have such a sniney cable. (BTW - I'm not knocking the cable at all - it's nice - maybe someday I'll have an extra $100 for one, but right now I'm spent )

Re: Transmission, Throttle Valve Corrector, for Edelbrock Carburetors?

i bought off brands (same part numbers), the shinny cables the only ones i could get to work with my setup since the pre factory fit ones where to short or to long, i bought ones i knew i could cut to the length i needed plus they look nice. id like to make sure i get the geometry right, i know how testy the 700r4s can be. i sent lokar a message just waiting to hear back to see what they say. . . im going to wait before i cut the cable that connects to the carb.

hey fueledsoul have you checked out this site. they have just about everything you need including info. might help. wow you know that corrector bracket looks exactly like the one i have for my holley. just a thought. since i went carbed and got all the brackets needed for my holley i have yet to be able to do the factory type setting and get it to work. i have had to play with it. i ended up pulling it out two clicks at a time till i got a soft shift. then went three clicks in and it was perfect. i love the way that cable and bracket look.
