Looking to do a TPI to carb swap. Need advice and guidance.
The motor in the car currently is TPI and i'm sick of all the computer con trolled bs so i'm considering the carb swap. Heres my lit of parts from summit that i think i need:
1.MSD Ignition 8360 - MSD Pro-Billet Ready-To-Run Distributor
2.Edelbrock 2975 - Edelbrock Victor Jr. Intake Manifold
3. Fel-Pro Performance Z1206 - Fel-Pro Performance Intake Manifold Gasket Set
4. Edelbrock 8504 - Edelbrock Intake Manifold Bolt Kits
5.Edelbrock 1412 - Edelbrock Performer Carburetor - 800 cfm.
6.MSD Ignition 8202 - MSD Blaster 2 Ignition Coil
7.GM Performance 6472657 - GM Performance Fuel Pump
I think that covers the basics other than small parts like air cleaner, coil bracket, vacume line caps, and water neck.
I would like suggestions on parts as well as input from experienced individuals. Thank you everyone.

Victor Jr. - no guts below 4000 RPMs. Get a Performer RPM.
Performer carb - Why?
Thermostat housing (guess you called that the "water neck"), throttle cables, heater and radiator hoses, fuel fitting adapters, return-style fuel pressure regulator, TV cable geometry corrector bracket, means to lock up the torque converter clutch.

Or an Edelbrock 1405 Performer carb, like I have, works pretty nicely so far.
I also did the TPI to Carb swap, I went with the Performer EPS intake. For the fuel, you will need a return style pressure regulator, I'm using a Barry Grant, I think the p/n is 7102, but don't quote me. The more popular one I see is the Mallory 4309, which I didn't use because I got the BG one for less, and it has a gauge port.
For the dizzy, I went with a Procomp HEI I got on ebay, complete, for $70, with a cool clear cap so I can watch the rotor turn. Looks cool at night with the sparks, too.

Re: Looking to do a TPI to carb swap. Need advice and guidance.
I've only been running the EPS intake for about 24 hours (yeah, I just finished the tpi to carb swap), but so far i like it.
It was more of a spur of the moment thing. I have one of the factory L69 305 HO aluminum 4bbl intakes I got for $25. I had a couple vaccum leaks where the manifold joins the head, around one of the bolts, and the EGR ports, while blocked, I suspect were also leaking. I needed an intake pronto, and didn't have time to go junkyarding to try and find another HO intake, so I ran to autozone and they had the EPS in stock. It was $140, but cuz my autozone is badass, they price matched it to the ad I got off amazon.com, for $120.
