Idle is 3000 rpm, tap the gas to bring it down and the idle sticks where i take the revs up to??? now the car is flooded and won't crank.... why is this thing standing at 3000 rpm? anyone have similar problems or advice? thanks.

Re: New carb, new problems.

go to the sticky (https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/carb...e-rebuild.html) to Page 6C1-6, Figure 6C1-8, and turn the Fast Idle Adjustment Screw counterclockwise a 1/4 turn.
