Re: IDLE QUESTION
I have tried that. Adjusting it that way changes my idle above 1500 rpm in park.

Re: IDLE QUESTION
There should really be only a difference of 200 or so between park/neutral and drive. Are you adjusting with the ISC unplugged?

Re: IDLE QUESTION
Yes, my ISC hasn't really been working and has been unplugged for more then a year. I tried to adjust the idle again while in gear. When I had it where I wanted it I put the car in park and the idle was close to 2000 rpm. With the cam I have in the car I would like to have my in gear idle closer to 800 rpm instead of 550 rpm. If the timing was off would this cause this? I have only had the car on the road for a month now and am trying to fix the bugs.
Another problem that I have been having is really low vacuum when the car is put in gear and the engine is cold, under 5". After about 10 minutes the vacuum goes up ans stays there , around 12".
The car has been running well except for a little dead spot during take off.
Any Ideas?

Re: IDLE QUESTION
You have a bad ISC and you're complaining about an idle problem? I'm not trying to be a jerk, but you need to get that fixed before you try to correct the idle. Yes, incorrect timing will have an effect on your car's idle rpms as well. You also didn't mention that it was a cammed enigne.
