vacuum lines on holley 600

i was wondering if any one could tell me where the vacuum lines on my holley 600 are supposed to run to. right now i have them all capped off. it seems to be running fine. would it hurt anything to keep them capped.

The large fitting on the base of the carb should go to the PCV valve. If you don't have that hooked up, you'll risk water and crude build-up in the crankcase.

The vacuum advance should go either the to small port on the passenger side, or the small port on the front corner of the base of the carb. Without vacuum advance, you're burning more gas than you need to, and possibly fouling plugs.

Don't forget the brake booster on the rear of the carburetor. Without this, you will have a massive vacuum leak and most likely stall out in gear. Seems like your car is running fine, so I can only assume that this is already hooked up.

Have you tryed to stop one of these cars without the brake booster hooked up?
LOL he will findout real quick if it aint, drive down the street put the car in N then shut off the engine and tap the brakes to bleed the vacume in the system then try stop the car :P NOTE: make shure there is nothing infront of you when you do this!

Haha, been there. I forgot to reconnect this line, and I was like "whats this whistling noise I hear" as the car stalls in reverse, and I damn near back into my neighbor's dodge neon. Gotta love the E brake.

Re: vacuum lines on holley 600

Where is this vacuum line you are talking about, at what point in the intake? If your timing, brake booser, and PCV valve vacuum lines are all connected, you can plug it off, I don't think anything else needs to be connected. You said the car is running fine, so just make sure any additional vacuum ports are capped or plugged.
