performance cc quadrajet
Well im in the process of swaping a 350 tpi in a lg4 car but i want to use the lg4 top end (carb and intake) it seems theres no aftermarket cc carb can the cc carb handle the 350 with exhaust and soon heads cam intake? The reason for ditching tpi is for better performance and easy tuning or will i lose performance swaping to cc carb. Also is there any kind of performance parts to get more fuel and air through the carb? What is a good intake to run on the centerbolt heads and cc carb (note this is not for a lg4 but for a l98 350 w. full exhaust)

You'll be fine with the ccc-qjet without any major mods other than new secondary hangers/rods. Some may require adjusting the rod to allow the secondarys to open completely. Doug Roe's q-jet book is a good source.
Your carb will need to be adjusted to the new engine combo which will require a dwell meter and a few special wrenches. Make sure you've got a bung in the headers for the O2. Set up properly it will out perform the TPI system on the top end and easily adjust to engine mods (no prom tuning).
The RPM Air-gap is a good manifold but will require a drop-base air cleaner for stock hood clearance.
If you search you'll find a lot of guys using the ccc-qjet system on modded 350's. I'm running a 350 with vortec heads and a streetable comp cams grind.

so i should be able to run faster then my 14.48 with tpi with just the swap? The only intake i found that fits centerbolts and has egr is the edelbrock peformer is that right?
