off idle system
Im having trouble with the off idle system on my E4ME. When I depress the pedel lightly the car seem to be starving, but as soon as I open it to the full power system it smooths right out. My idle seems fine and according to my O2 sensor reading the mixture is right. I've looked down the primary bores at the off idle ports while opening the throttle slightly and I dont see any fuel fog coming from the ports. The car runs perfectly other then the slight hesitation on take off. I've opened the carb and made sure there were no restrictions so I cant think of any other reason Im not getting fuel there. Any Ideas?

accelerator pump working ? (easiest to test first).
possibly plugged transition slots would be my second guess. Rebuild would cure that easiest.

I am seeing a good spray from the accelerator pump. Its a store bought rebuilt carb, I know that doesnt mean much though. one thing im not sure of now is if i used the right base gasket. one is completly open and the other has holes for each barrel. I havent seen anything stating a difference between the two. I cant see how that will make a difference.

normally I would say your primary piston spring is too weak or too strong or something, but with the electronic q-jet i'm leery to give advice.
It's a store bought piece, so you don't really know what's in there...

What i really need is a q-jet tool set. I cant seem to find any. When i bought the carb and installed it, it was WAY off. I got it close other then what we've been talking about. Ive made tools for the TPS and MCS but without the gauges I cant get the rest adjusted correctly.

what tools are you trying to get now?
with your TPS and MCS tools, i'd guess those are the only ones you need to use past what I use on my non-cc. I have a caliper to set float level, or I use the paper one that comes in a rebuild kit. I have the flex handle screw driver, with the double D bit to adjust the idle mixture screws. And I think that's it. Oh, along with a T8, T20, and T25 torx screw drivers.
