Installing aftermarket air cleaner
I am upgrading from the stock air cleaner of a 1992 Firebird to an Edelbrock air cleaner. Edelbrock.com - Accessories - Air Cleaners - Elite Series</title>
<script type="text/javascript">
PositionX = 100;
PositionY = 100;
defaultWidth = 300;
defaultHeight = 300;
var AutoClose = true;
if (parseInt(navigator.appVersion.charAt(0))>=4){
var isNN=(navigator.appName=="Netscape")?1:0;
var isIE=(navigator.appName.indexOf("Microsoft")!=-1)?1:0;}
var optNN='scrollbars=no,width='+defaultWidth+',height='+defaultHeight+',left='+PositionX+',top='+PositionY;
var optIE='scrollbars=no,width=150,height=100,left='+PositionX+',top='+PositionY;
function popImage(imageURL,imageTitle){
if (isNN){imgWin=window.open('about:blank','',optNN);}
if (isIE){imgWin=window.open('about:blank','',optIE);}
with (imgWin.document){
writeln('<html><head><title>Loading...
So after putting everything in place what do I do with the hose from the carburator and the wire that plugs into the old air cleaner. In the picture you can see what I mean. Thanks for the help!!

That electrical plug is your inlet air temperature (IAT) sensor, and the hose just opens the thermac valve. You can plug the thermac hose, but you need to remove the IAT from the air cleaner and mount it somewhere so you don't pull a check engine light. I used the same Edelbrock air cleaner and just drilled a hole in the bottom of the air cleaner for the IAT.

Wait a minute, do you have a carb? The picture is of a TBI.
If TBI, you're on the wrong forum. Let me know exactly what you've got, and we'll get you in the right place.
