I recently purchased the 1411 carb for my 305 but haven't installed it yet. I was considering exchanging it for the 800CFM 1213 model which is tuned for performance. I plan on swapping out my 305 for a 350 or 383. Should I bother paying the extra $80 for the 1413? Right now on my 305 will I see slightly better performance with the 1413 vs the 1411? I also have the Performer EPS intake manifold.

800cfm seems a little big for a 305 doesnt it.

Right, but if I go to a 350 or 383? What I'm most concerned about is the 750 performer carb is tuned for Fuel Economy. I'm worried about it being too lean.

I run a Edel. 1411 750 cfm carb on my 388 ci engine, in fact it is jetted lean both front and rear due to my altitude... so my answer stick with the 750

MK', did you consider the Edel carbs that have
an adjustable air valve?

unless there is a big cost difference,
you should take a look.
