Fuel tank pick up screen
Where can I get a fuel pickup screen that has a barbed end on it so I can just push it into a 1/4 or
5/16 hose, then use a hose clamp, and do away with my in tank pump?
I have searched all over the net and found nothing. Not even on the marine or aircraft sites.

Don't know of any such thing.
You need the whole assembly back there; its name is "sending unit". Comes with the screen and the right tube and all that, in addition to the sender itself.
Or, you can get one out of a junkyard tank. Those can be hard to find though, as they take them out of cars first thing when they arrive, for saftey reasons.

'55-'57 Chevys used such a thing. Had 5/16" and 3/8" versions. Last one I got was GM NOS, although I never did check to see if it was actually NS (you know how those outfits are).
I've got a 5/16" sitting on the bench that I'll never use. However, I'd recommend 3/8".

Anybody that specializes in shoeboxes. I got mine from Danchuck - I haven't been too happy with them lately, but they should be okay for this item. You want the FI/2x4bbl version.

(Sorry about the coffee stain)
I've got several. Step out the back door - If my arm is still any good, and I can clear the towers at Byron, I'll send one your way.
Try a snowmobile supply. These are 8mm (5/16") and are in almost every sled tank I've seen (mostly SkiDoo). Rock River Marine (Leaf River) might have them, or you can order them through Dennis Kirk or any number of places.
I got mine here: http://www.lovesparkmotorsports.com/
Look through their microfiche online and you should be able to find it.
