linkage issue

Yay it started. After working on it all weekend, my car started with the enw motor in it. But now it idles really high. Since I got a Weiand stealth intake manifold (would reccomend getting one, seems that none of the stuff fits right) anyway, the linkage seems to sit about a 1/2 inch too far back, making it idle aroud 1700. Anyone got a remedy for this, my dad said hes gonna bend it, but i was hoping someone had a better solution than that!

Check Summit or Jegs for an adjustable bracket. You may be able to find something locally if you have a decent speed shop in your area. The chain parts stores probably won't have the quality hardware you'll want.

To be more specific, check www.summitracing.com for p/n SUM-G1414. It mounts to the carb base.

Sorry, I was looking at several brackets after searching their site and confused that one with others that say they will.

Try your own search on Summit for throttle cable brackets.
