Just finished carb rebuild...
(This rebuild is for a 76 quadrajet) Just finished and was wondering if it's necessary to do every adjustment shown on the rebuild sheet. What adjustments SHOULD i do? How does the needle attach to the float?

You should try to do as many of the adjustments as possible. The float is a very important one. Choke pull-off adjustments can be made by trial-and-error when you get the engine running and start driving it again, for instance. Otherwise, try to do what they suggest.
The needle doesn't "attach" to the float per se. The needle should have a little clip on it that fits onto the end of the float. The clip pulls the needle up when the float drops down. But, if you don't use the clip, it shouldn't affect the operation as fuel pressure should open the needle valve as the float drops - the clip is "belt & suspenders" thinking.

From my experience with Q-jets, getting the clip to stay on the end of the float can be tedious. Take your time and make sure you get it on there correctly so you don't have to take the airhorn back of later when the car floods(I say this from experience).
