Changing Manifolds, Keeping TBI question (pics)
I am considering changing the stock TBI manifold on my camaro to something a little more, highend. I have this manifold for a SBC. What I am wondering is, what gains / losses am I going to get with this manifold?

Axle/Gears: Peg Leg w/ 3.73's
Youll gain a small amount of topend and loose a ton of bottom end. Single plain intakes are designed for a highly modified engines with large cams and a high stall. Go with the zz4 intake and if your keeping tbi get an adapter plate from turbocity.com. Also unless you have headers and an exhaust you really wont see much of a gain with a new intake. If your getting air in and it would get out your not making much of an improvement. Good Luck.

Engine: 357 vortec finished. need tuning
Transmission: Still works
Axle/Gears: need 3.73
You will also need a new hood with that application. I was going to use a single plane vortec manifold for my set up but am going with a dual plane instead.

This is a TBI setup though, is it not? The loss of lowend wouldn't be nearly as drastic with TBI as it would be with a carb, IIRC.
Hood clearance will be a huge problem though. I have less than 1/2" clearance with my aircleaner on my carb (dropped base open 14") and that manifold is at least 2" taller than mine.
If you want a manifold like that, get a Torker. I know lots of you are gonna throw stones at me for saying that, but I really like mine. Its got some serious pickup for a single plane intake on a streetable engine running 87 octane. Its very torquey right off idle all the way to about 5000 where it runs outta cam.

Is that a 300-105 for the part number? If so, sell that to a circle track guy.
If it is the 300-105, that's the Keith Dorton series intake. Effective advertised range of 4500-8000 RPM.
Oh, and not sure, but i THINK its for a raised port head.
