It should fit, mine does just bearly and I'm betting I have less hood clearance than you. Also running a drop base air cleaner.

Does the stock (not powerbulge) firebird hood have an inch less hood clearence than the camero?
I too am concerned with hood clearence. But I am now confident the stealth intake I have will fit after seeing the victor under the hood of the camero.

I havent tried the setup w/ a vic jr, but I had a performer rpm which is actually slightly taller than the vic jr under my stock T/A hood. I had a 3" drop base, and it actually touched the insulation with the hood closed, but it fit. W/ the vic jr being just slightly shorter you should be able to get away w/ it as long as you have a drop base.
