What type of plug do I need to put in the manifold? Im talking about the hole to the right of the t-stat housing the opposite hole leads to the heater core. Also what type of plug do I need for the hole in the runner?

A pipe plug. You can get them in most hardware stores.
One is 1/2" the other is 3/8".

Be sure to get an aluminum fitting or brass fitting since steel and aluminum do not mix. They will corrode, eat at each other and sometimes they like to fuse themsleves together and make more headaches when trying to remove in the future.
