Edelbrock 1405

Finally! I installed the Edelbrock 1405 (600cfm) carb, and switched
to an older HEI distributor. The car runs 100 times better than it
did with that Quadra-puke feedback carb. Managed to separate
the wires and excuse the computer from the car.
Loper's Performance (Phoenix, Arizona) wanted 50 bucks (rip off)
for a stupid peice of metal, otherwise known as an EGR relocator.
Managed to get a double-spacer to work just as well, for a part
of the cost Loper's wanted to charge. Car is lovin' it!

Now to finish the tranny swap & get it painted!

Don't you love the throttle response. Hey try setting the accelerator linkage to the very first hole on the plunger bracket. I did it to mine and now my off idle response is so good I just spin my tires through first and into second.

I'll have to check that out. Unfortunately I don't have the car in
my possesion at this time, as it's gone in for paint & body work.
So as soon as I get it back I'll check it out.
Thanks for the info.
