I don't know if they make mine anymore, I just searched for it, I have a edelbrock victor series I believe it was 220-250GPH, highest fuel pressure I got it too was like 10psi? Not sure, haven't ran my motor in 6 months cause its in pieces. Had a regulator too

Re: Post Your Carb'd Motor Pics

Hey Project, don't forget that you would probably need to get some decent heads on that setup also to handle that type of intake. Unless that intake has some very small ports on it. And since it would be mostly for street anyway, maybe look at getting some smaller carbs like a couple of 390s or some 450s. They would work better for you on the street and would probably get maybe better gas mileage from the smaller carbs and might be even easier to tune. This is just a suggestion.

Re: Post Your Carb'd Motor Pics

Jupiter, that is a really nice setup on that 383. How much torque does that motor have and that T-10 handles the torque pretty well I would imagine. Tires probably break lose pretty easily when cruising around 30 mph and just step on the gas will probably break those tires lose easily I'd imagine.

Re: Post Your Carb'd Motor Pics

my heads have alot of port work done, so there fine for the tunnel ram, as for carbs, the 500's are good. i called edelbrock and gave them my specs on the engine and they told me the 500 avs carbs will work great.

Scary when wet OR dry... hehe
Seriously yea it breaks lose pretty easy. I originally built it for NOS but decided
not to go in that direction so it's not all that. It benched right at 430HP -
460ft/lbs. It's all forged lower end with Trickflo aluminum heads. The tranny is
the last piece of the drivetrain that is factory 'rebuilt' and still holding up
'unbelievable'. Anyway next time i will know to build for HP rather then torque
on a 3rd gen. Untill i got some Nitto 295/40 in the rear i hadn't felt any
tracktion.

The throttle bracket is a Jegs part if i remember correctly. The air cleaner
is a K&N Extreme with drop base 14"x3".

Re: Post Your Carb'd Motor Pics

It's a mild homebuilt 350 with original computer controlled Quadrajet carb. I tweaked the secondary rods and hangers, and opened AV valve further to handle the extra cubes of the 350. Awesome response and pulling power. 20 plus hiway mileage too. Love my Quadrajet!

I used a 89 TPI car heater hose pipe and with a combination of 90 degree hoses
i was able to get the heater valve OFF the motor. Generally the temp sender
for the gauge is on the left side 'drivers side' head and the cooling fan sensor is
on the right side head.

Heater valve...

I to have the reverse flow water pump with the serpentine. The water pump
heater hose outlet is plugged up. I routed the water out the manifold into the
heater valve. The heater valve sends water to the heater core or to the
radiator depending on setting. My 82 bird didn't come with a heater valve so
this was my way of adapting one and keep it off the motor. Here is the finished
product...

I'm running the Doug thorley long tubes. They have 1 3/4" primaries and 3" collectors. They fit good but had to use exta flange gaskets on drivers side to get spark plug clearence on the #7 cylinder. And you have to lift motor out enuff to install em
