Re: Post Your Carb'd Motor Pics
Here's mine since I finally got it going again. Still plenty of clean up work to do with all the wires. I'll wait till I get it broke in. Also have to get the correct radiator hose. Someone else said that in '92 the water neck was the angled style. My '91 the water neck pointed straight forward. Will an upper hose from a '92 fit right in? Cause I see I'm about the only one using that ugly hose.

Re: Post Your Carb'd Motor Pics
the pictures are 2 years old, those were actually hedman you are correct, since the pictures, ive bought Ed Quay custom headers for it there actually 1 7/8 stepped to a 2" about 1" off the block to cheat having to put the big block adapter which the guy that makes them recomended, and he ported them so its a smooth transition to the 2" so it flows perfect. my buddy put up an unauthorized description of the car..but heres the picture
best headers ive ever seen in terms of build quality and flow, i used to boost creep at high rpm to 11lbs now it sits at 7lbs right throught the rpm range, and i just put moroso spiral flow mufflers with turndowns right on the ends of the headers so it sounds ridiculous. well worth the large sum of money that they cost me, but simply put with the motor jacked up it took less than 30 seconds per side to fit in with only slight motor mount modification. worth every penny!!

Re: Post Your Carb'd Motor Pics
Just finished TPI to carb conversion. Best thing i have ever did. Have a ZZ430 clone. (fastburn 385 with HOT cam and 1.6 rocker upgrade). Installed a mallory three port return regulator, Performer RPM airgap and BG 750 VAC SEC crate motor carb, tuned for this motor. Moroso 2'' drop aircleaner tucks just under the factory iroc louvered hood.

The intake is a HI-TECH Torque-Link. I haven't got a chance to run it yet, still gotta brake in the new cam.

Re: Post Your Carb'd Motor Pics
man, i have a tuned port inj. 350 and i thought it looked cool, but after i saw these pics, these look so much better in these cars i nmy opinion haha. so much less clutter and crap, and i bet the powerband doesnt DROP TO ZERO at a little after 4.5k rpm. i was thinking about upgrading to stealthram in the future, but i may have to think things over again, and consider a carb. haha. i just would want something that fits uinder the stock hood, but im sre its possible.
nice lookin pics tho, i like it

Wow, lots of open element air cleaners in this thread. I used to run an open element but I upgraded to a spectre cold air intake. Don't have pics right now but I'll try to get em soon. CAI's make a noticable difference...
