1984 COWL-INDUCTION Set-Up? WHERE????
Hey guys, if I went looking for a complete HO "Cowl Induction" set-up from a 1984 HO TransAm....
how much can I expect to pay for the entire thing plus working solenoid, and how difficult
are they do to find?
My understanding is that I can use this in an 82 TransAm. The reason I want the one from the
1984 is because it used a carbureted HO V8. The 82-83 Cowl-Setup instead was only for the CFI
engines and if I dropped a small block carbed chevy V8 in it, I wouldn't be able to use it.
Thanks,

I got mine for cheap at a junkyard out of an 83 (83 and 84 carbed T/A's could have a functional cowl induction). Since nobody remembers these induction units, they're terribly hard to find, but very cheap from a yard. I have no idea how much they're worth to those who want them though.
I almost got a spare, but someone took the hood and left only the functional air cleaner. Again, didn't know what they got.
If you need help, I wrote a tech article based on my installation:

The hardest part is finding a working solenoid and the vac sensor to run the solenoid.
