TCC Lock-up Need help quick!
I'm changing the the ccQjet and distributor for standard versions and removing the emmisions(84 TA L69). I'm currious if the TCC lock-up will still work properly. I plan on leaving the computer in the car for now. Until I change the 700R4 for a T5. Will the Lock-up swith work? And will I still be able to use OD? I'm doing this tomarow so I need help quick.
Thanks in advance.

i am not sure if in your car the TC will lock up. in my 84 Z28 i had to buy a module from b&m that would allow it to lock up. it allowed you to pick which speed it locked at and is a well designed unit. Unfortunately it was about $100. Whether or not it locks up you still will have 4th gear just it may not pull the RPMS done an extra 300-400. Oh well that is the price you pay lol

Without the inputs from the throttle position sensor and distributor, the ECM will not command the TCC lockup. You either need to get the kit xpndbl3 talks about, or rig up a manual switch as described in the tech article on this board.
