Car: 1987 Firebird Formula
Engine: 305 LG4
Transmission: 700R4
New Exhaust,any carb changes neccesary?
Check my sig.The car is running ok but now that I have a modified exhaust installed are there any ajdustments to the carb that I should do?Different hangers?Secondaries?Keep in mind I'm at 5000ft.What about timming adjustments?Thanks.

Transmission: 4L60E/4L80E
Axle/Gears: 12B-3.73/9"-3.89
You can typically get away with a few more degrees advance up here than at sea level. I've got mine at 7 degrees right now (9.5:1 CR), and can run our fine 85 octane regular with no problems. My cam may be helping some, though. I might try even more advance to see what that does. Having the advance at the point where the engine runs the best can have negative effects on emissions, so keep that in mind when the time comes.
Secondary rods & hanger are really a tuning exercise. I'm running DR rods on a B hanger and it's doing fine. But again, that's my setup, and yours could responds quite differently.

'66 396, 9.7:1 forged TRWs, Weiand Action+, Holley 750VS w/4150 conversion, GK 270 cam, Magnum rockers, Jacobs Omnipack, 1-3/4" Hedders & 3" Warlocks, TH400 w/TCI Sat Night Special conv & Trans-Scat shift kit, MegaShifter, 3.08 8.2" 10-bolt w/Powertrax, AMSOIL syn lubes bumper-to-bumper. Idles smooth @ 700 RPM in D. Best 15.02/95.06 @ 5800' Bandimere (corrected 13.93/102.4 @ sea level).
