Holley Overdrive Transmission Braket...
I have a Holley 750 on my 84 305. It always has jumped like crazy between 1st and 2nd. I was told that I need a overdrive transmission braket made by Holley. So I went and bought one. Now how do I put it on (I see where it goes, but im not sure what is to heppen with the old transmission braket that is in there already). And seconly how do I get the kickdown cable on properly (I was told it was a 2 man job).. Any help would be much appreciated...

You don't need a different bracket to hold the cable, you need a geometry correction bracket that goes on the end of the throttle lever.
LOOK FOR THIS
29. 700R4, adapter for a Holly carburetor to install the throttle valve cable correctly. Usually this part will correct a hard light throttle 1-2 shift. With this kit getting the correct geometry is easy. Cost $27.00. Adapter for the Edelbrock carburetor $29.00. If you have a 700R4 or 200-4R transmission and one of these two carburetors you need this part.
