Help: Piece of Fricking Plastic Broken

K, so the little egg-shaped piece of plastic that controls the secondary meetering rod holder to move with the secondaries on my buddy's carb has broken in half. I've been to 4 partshops and 1 carb rebuilding place, the general concensus is go looking in a junkyard.... At this time, there are no quadrajets in junkyards in the area.

Meanwhile, my buddy's carb is disasembled in his garage, and his car is going nowhere.

Anyone know where i can get the part???????

Here's another option, if you don't have someone to bail you out:

I had the exact same problem a couple of months back, I had a post about it. Once I found the problem I kicked myself for spending hours changing fuel filters, adjusting AV tension and swapping secondary rods. I have a couple of marine parts carbs lying about and I got one out of them.
