Idle Transfer Slots??

On my Speed Demon 750DP should I have the idle transfer slots exposed on all four barrels of the carb or just the primaries? It is mainly street/strip with a 4 speed.I have just the primaries exposed right now with the secondaries completely closed.Seems to be good but I was wondering if it would run better with all of them exposed.I have heard (read) to expose all four of them only on full race cars, not on street, true or false?Thankx

By rights they all should just expose the edge of the idle transfer slot. say .02 to .035". if you have a small camshaft,
close to stock (high manifold vacuum).
and the motor idles too fast when set like this you may have to close the secondary butterflies a little. These carbs were designed to work on your average hi perf setup with some what less vacuum signal
than a stock motor.
