gas shooting skyward out of carb!!
My carb is wiggin, as soon as I turn on my fuel pump (carter self-regulating) gas starts to shoot up from the tube between the jets (see pic) and go everywhere.

Isn't that a vent tube? If so, your float is stuck open.

He's right. That is a vent tube, and your float is more than likely stuck.

If its stuck, try tapping on the side off the fuel bowl with a screw driver to see if ya can get the float to fall. If that does not work try adjustint the float level nut on top of the fuel bowl all the way down. If that dowsn't work ya gotta take the fuel bowl off.

if that does work maybe your pump is overpowering the floats. Test to see what your fuel pressure is at.
