What is the big hole in my intake runner for??

in my performer rpm (and most other manifolds) there is a hole tapped in the back of the manifold in one of the intake runners. What do I hook up to there??

It's a vaccuum port. You can connect your brake booster to it if your carb doesn't already have a port on the back, or you can put a plug in it.
